The current heavy snowfall in winter may even pose a challenge to the rated capacities of buildings. And since the temperature over the weekend is expected to be above zero, the volume of water and, consequently, the weight of the snow on roofs may increase rapidly.
The slippery surface of fabric-covered Best-Hall buildings will most often help the snow slide off on its own. If this does not happen, we recommend removing some of the snow with a remote-controlled ‘rubber squeegee’ attached to the long boom of a HIAB vehicle, for example. This is especially useful in cases where the snow has accumulated on one side of the roof only.
Be careful when clearing snow so as not to damage the cover. It is a good idea to leave about 20 cm of snow on the roof for this reason.
